Michael Schumacher to replace Felippe Massa :: Schumacher back in Formula One

Seven time world Champion Michael Schumacher is all set for a comeback who retired from Formula One in the year 2006. He is going to replace Felippe Massa after he was injured during the Qualifying session of the Hungarian Grand Prix. He was then kept under induced coma for observation and has sustained a skull injury. But he is slowly recovering back to normal, but still it won't be possible for him to race for quite sometime this season. So Ferrari is planning to bring back their champion Michael Schumacher for the next race in Valencia, Europe.

Michael will be undergoing fitness tests before he joins the team and as of now he is just the team advisor. In terms of fitness, neck is the most vulnerable part in Formula One driver's body, and the amount of g-force that is applied on that is equal to 3 or 4 times the weight of the helmet especially during turns. And Michael had earlier met with a bike accident this year and the fitness experts wants to make sure that he is completely fit before the race.

Actor Suriya turns 34 today, the versatile Kollywood actor from South India turned 34 today. Although he was busy shooting for his forthcoming film in South Africa, his fans back home tried to continue his activities by conducting blood donation camps in Chennai. His fan club members conducted blood donation camps in the Government hospital in Chennai, and all those who donated blood will be receiving a certificate from actor Suriya himself who will be back home by 25. He will be distributing the certificates to the volunteers on 26 and there might be a small lunch organised for the same members.

Surya is one star who has always tried to maintain a clean image and has been successful in that. The star is always been helping people in social causes and always creates social awareness. Recently the star attended the Joy of Giving and promised that hereafter he will spend 10% of his salary for social causes. The much awaited Surya starrer Aadhavan is almost complete and the crew has decided to release the audio of the movie on August 19. The release date of Aadhavan has also been confirmed. The music which is being scored by Harris Jeyaraj has a lot of expectations after back to back hits from him like Vaaranam Aayiram and Ayan. Harris Jeyaraj and Surya have been a successful combo and hence the expectation is more. The audio launch is gonna take place at Satyam Cinemas, Chennai. Malayalam actor Mohanlal is going to release the audio along with director Shankar, which will be received by head of the producers council Ramnarayan.

The movie is directed by K.S.Ravikumar and dialogues by Ramesh Khanna. Vadivelu plays the comedian and Nayantara is paired opposite to Surya for the first time. Veteran actress Saroja Devi plays an important role in the movie and will be seen on the silver screen after a long time. The story is like Saroja Devi has two sons and Nayantara is the daughter of the eldest son and Surya enters the family as a servant, wants to take revenge on the members of the family for what had happened earlier and ends up becoming the head of the family by falling in love with Nayantara.

Vikram is all smiles because his much awaited film Kanthasamy is all set to hit the screens on August 21. He has other reasons to smile to because he recently started his own production house. Kanthasamy is said to be a super-hero flick where Vikram will be seen flying to rescue the people. He is currently working on Mani Ratnam's Raavan which will be a bi-lingual. Aayirathil Oruvan release has been post-poned due to Kandasamy. Kanthasamy will definetly have a huge opening as always because Vikram has had no release since 2008 January.

Kolkatta Knight Riders, the most talked about team in the IPL, which failed miserably in the second season of the IPL finishing last in the table, recently held a management meeting where it was confirmed that KKR and coach John Buchanan have decided to part ways.

The statements read: "The Knight Riders management and owners have reviewed the strengths and weaknesses of the team with all parties involved and are proactively looking for a new approach to ensure Knight Riders are well prepared for the 2010 season of IPL and beyond. As a part of this exercise, Knight Riders have consulted with John Buchanan to discuss a new approach. John, however, feels that his vision and direction for the team that he wishes to take are no longer aligned to those of the owners and franchise management, and as such he has decided to return to his coaching and corporate consulting work."

Which clearly indicates the difference in opinion as reported earlier by the media.The KKR management supported Buchanan wholeheartedly during both the seasons, despite the team finishing sixth and eighth place respectively. Mehta said "We have amicably agreed that Knight Riders will release him from his contract with immediate effect" in the press release.

John Buchanan thanked the KKR management for supporting him for two seasons. He said he was very disappointed for not being able to continue with KKR and complete the work he started.

Composer G.V.Prakash is a happy man these days. First and foremost the biggest project of his career is going to release soon. It is Selvaraghavan's Aayirathil Oruvan. The project has been under making for the past 18 months and is almost complete. The movie is said to be an action adventure. Honda Jazz Launched in India

Honda Motor Company launched their new model Jzz in India today.Honda Jazz was initially launched in Japan in the year 2001. Honda Jazz comes in three different models: a basic one, Jazz mode and Jazz active. The price varies from Rs.6.98 to 7.40 lacs. All Jazz models come standard with dual front air bags, dash integrated MP3/CD sound system with steering mounted controls and ABS + EBD.

The interior design of Jazz is as impressive as Honda Civic. The Jazz has been launched in India with a 1.2 L i-VTEC engine which has been specially developed for the Indian Market.The new powertrain is a 4 cylinder 1198 cc engine featuring Programmed Fuel Injection delivering a power of 89 Bhp at 6200 rpm and torque of 110 Nm at 4800 rpm. It is expected that Jazz will give mileage of around 13-14 kms per litre in city driving.Honda India has initially launched Jazz with 1.2 litre engine. But they are also planning to launch another version of Jazz with much more powerful 1.5 litre 118 Bhp engine which is currently available in Honda City.

Sehwag out of T20 World Cup :: Returning home

Virender Sehwag is out of the T20 World Cup after failing to recover from the shoulder injury. He will be returning back to India after consulting a few specialists in England. BCCI confirmed today evening in a press release that Sehwag will not be playing T20 World Cup and will have to return back to India.

Dinesh Karthik will be sent to England tomorrow, as he has been looking in good form right from IPL. And he seems to be a reserve keeper option which the team needed. Lets hope Rohit Sharma's good form continues through out the tournament and balances the loss of Virender Sehwag.

Two bodies from Air France found

Investigators found two passengers' bodies and a briefcase containing an Air France Flight 447 ticket in the Atlantic Ocean near where the jetliner is believed to have crashed, an official said.The French agency investigating the disaster, meanwhile, said airspeed instruments were not replaced as the maker recommended before the plane disappeared in turbulent weather nearly a week ago during a flight from Rio to Paris with 228 people aboard.All were killed, the world's worst commercial air accident since 2001, and Air France's deadliest plane crash.

The bodies of two male passengers were recovered Saturday morning about 45 miles south of where Air France Flight 447 emitted its last signals — roughly 400 miles northeast of the Fernando de Noronha islands off Brazil's northern coast.An air force spokesman said an Air France ticket was found inside a leather briefcase.It was confirmed with Air France that the ticket number corresponds to a passenger on the flight.The bodies are being transported to the Fernando de Noronha islands for identification. A backpack with a laptop and a vaccination card also was recovered.The U.S. Navy is sending two high-tech devices to French ships that will help them locate the black boxes.The Towed Pinger Locators, which can detect emergency beacons to a depth of 20,000 feet, are being flown to Brazil with a U.S. Navy team.The team will deliver the locators to two French tugs that will use them to listen for transmissions from the black box.

As a part of their investigation, the officials are relying on 24 messages the plane sent automatically during the last minutes of the flight.The signals show the plane's autopilot was not switched on, officials said, but it was not clear if the autopilot had been switched off by the pilots or had stopped working because it received conflicting airspeed readings. The flight disappeared nearly four hours after takeoff.

Dhoni denies rumours of coldwar with Sehwag

It was a suprising evening when the entire Indian team turned up at the pre-match press conference at Trent Bridge on Friday in a "show of unity" following media reports of a rift between senior players.

After the entire team assembled, skipper MS Dhoni read out a statement to "the people of India and Indian cricket fans worldwide". He said, the team was unified, "as good as it has ever been with each individual supporting each other on and off the field". He called the reports published in the Indian media recently is just a rumour.

He added that the entire team is unified , confident and well prepared. Once the report was read out Dhoni and his boys walked off.

The reports had pointed to Dhoni's replies - at a recent press conference , on Sehwag's injury as indicative of a rift between the two. Sehwag yet to bat on the tour, is suffering from a shoulder injury and Dhoni said he wasn't sure when he'd be able to play.
