Belgian Grandprix results :: Kimi Raikonnen wins Belgian Grandprix

Sunday's race at the spa was full of action and entertainment with the teams fighting really hard for the podium. Atlast it was Kimi Raikkonen on his Ferrari to make it first to the podium followed by Force India's Fisichella. Kimi Raikkonen won his fourth Belgian Grandprix. Sebastian Vettel finished third on his Red Bull. It was indeed an unlucky day for Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton who crashed out and had to retire from the race. By winning second place in this race Force India opens this season's points table.

Force India first pole position :: Giancarlo Fisichella takes pole position

Giancarlo Fisichella took pole position for Force India ahead of Toyota’s Jarno Trulli and BMW Sauber’s Nick Heidfeld on Saturday at Spa. This is the first pole position for the team in their Formula One career and the team is absolutely excited about it. When asked about the team's performance in the Qualifying to the team owner Vijay Mallya, he said firstly he has to thank his team for their support and hardwork they have been putting in for the performance of the vehicle. He said that we had a very bad season last year and they had to redesign the car again and make adjustments. We had been termed as the team which never Qualifies and now i think it has been disproved.

He also said that this team is the only team which spends very less when compared to other teams in the Formula One. He is looking forward to the race on Sunday and is on cloud nine after seeing Fisichella performing really well. Lets hope that the team and the car performs really well on Sunday's race.

Unnai Pol Oruvan Audio release date confirmed :: Kamal Haasan in Unnai Pol Oruvan

Dr.Kamal Haasan is on the verge of completing hid next venture Unnaipol Oruvan with his friend-director Chakri. The film is said to be a remake of the hindi blockbuster A Wednesday. Kamal plays the protagonist along with Malayalam star Mohanlal. The budget of the movie is very less when compared to his previous movie Dasavatharam. The music is composed by Shruti Haasan who did her UG in US. She also has her own rock band. Eventhough the movie does not have any songs because of its genre, scoring the background music for a movie is the toughest thing says Shruti Haasan.

The script has been modified slightly to suit the tastes of the Tamil audiences. The audio of the movie will be launched in a five star hotel here in Chennai. And the music bit that comes along with the promotional trailer has already left everyone speechless. The audio will launched on September 6.

Suriya Singham starts shooting :: Surya 25th film

Surya who recently completed his 24th film Aadhavan has started working on his next project which will be the actor's 25th film. Surya joins hands with his favourite director Hari who earlier gave him hits like Aaru and Vel. The film has been titled Singham and is a police story. The actor will perform the role of a cop after 6 years. Hari is also doing his second cop story after Saamy. The music is by Devi Sri Prasad. And the suprise is that the actor may sing a song in the movie.

The movie is produced by Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green the actor's cousin. And the sizzling beauty Anoushka will be seen sharing the screen with Surya. The comedy track is done by Vivekh who is also working with Hari after Saamy. The movie is likely to hit the screens for Summer 2010. The expectations are really high as the previous cop stories of the both the actor and director have been great hits.

Suriya plays a 10 yr old :: Aadhavan plot, story

Actor Suriya who is known for his versatility is all ready to storm the screens with his six pack abs. The actor who earlier played the role of a 50 year old father in Vaaranam Aayiram is all excited about the character he has done in his forthcoming film Aadhavan. Suriya has played the role of a 10 year old boy in the film for which he had to strain for nearly 15 days. Suriya being a dedicated actor and perfectionist who always follows the footsteps of the legend Kamal Haasan said that during the audio launch of Aadhavan. The director of the movie K.S.Ravikumar was all praise for actor Suriya for his dedication and hardwork. At the same time he warned him to be careful because he does most of the risky stunts himself with out using a body double so that the shot looks real. He said that the film has shaped up really well and the movie will hit the screens for Diwali 2009, October 17. The songs of the film are rocking the charts already.

Shahrukh Khan arrested :: Shahrukh Khan detained at US airport

Bollywood ka Badshah Shahrukh Khan was troubled a lot at the Newark airport. Shahrukh Khan who is currently shooting for My Name is Khan was interrogated by the immigration official for nearly two hours. He was detained because of his name ending in Khan. Eventhough he said he was an Indian actor the officials dint beleive him. Shahrukh Khan being a global icon had a tough time convincing the immigration official. He wasn't allowed to make a call either during the interrogation. Later after 2 hours he was given permission and he called the MP back home in India and asked him to speak with the embassy and later was let free. He was arrested for his Muslim identity. Even though SRK has been in US several times this is the first time he is facing this problem. Similarly Former President Abdul Kalam, actor Irrfan Khan, John Abraham and Neil Nitin also faced similar troubles earlier. SRK felt releived because his kids were not with him when he was detained back.

IDEA FILMFARE AWARDS 2009 :: FILMFARE AWARDS, PHOTOS,VIDEOS TELECAST

The much waited Idea Filmfare awards for the year 2008 took place in Hyderabad recently and the evening was filled with glitz and glamour. From Kollywood there were a lot of celebrities present to receive awards and feliciate the winners. It was Super star Surya who sweeped the award for best actor for his impeccable performance in Vaaranam Aayiram. And Paarvathy won the best actress award for her role in the film Poo. Surya was present at the event with his wife Jyothika who looked beautiful as ever. The movie Vaaranam aayiram bagged five awards in various categories.
