Sehwag out of T20 World Cup :: Returning home

Virender Sehwag is out of the T20 World Cup after failing to recover from the shoulder injury. He will be returning back to India after consulting a few specialists in England. BCCI confirmed today evening in a press release that Sehwag will not be playing T20 World Cup and will have to return back to India.

Dinesh Karthik will be sent to England tomorrow, as he has been looking in good form right from IPL. And he seems to be a reserve keeper option which the team needed. Lets hope Rohit Sharma's good form continues through out the tournament and balances the loss of Virender Sehwag.

Cold war between Viru and Dhoni :: Sehwag not playing

The cold war between Vice-captain Virender Sehwag and skipper MS.Dhoni has been the recent buzz in the Indian dressing room. During a press conference held recently when the skipper was questioned about Viru's fitness and his entry back into the team, the skipper replied lethargically that "Injuries are a gamble. I can't comment on when he'll become fully fit. I'm happy that we have other good players in our team who are in form."

And added that "After Viru's exit we always had a confusion of the opening pair and i thought of opening myself because Yuvraj fell sick after the first practice game. Then we zeroed in on Rohit Sharma who has been consistent through out the IPL to open the bat along with Gambhir." So it looks like Viru won't get a chance in the playing XI even if he is fit unless the spat between him and MSD clears.
