Mani Ratnam : SRK was my first choice

SRK was first approached to play the lead role in Raavan. However Abhishek will be playing the role now opposite Aishwarya. Shahrukh Khan was first interested in playing the role when he heard the script from Mani Ratnam but due to the delayed start of the movie he got committed with Aditya Chopra's Rab ne bane di Jodi and couldn't make it. When asked SRK he said there is always next time.

Mani Ratnam suffers Heart attack

Ace director Mani Ratnam suffered from Heart attack today while shooting for his magnum-opus Raavan. And was immediately rushed to Apollo Hospital for medical aid. This one is his second attack. His movie has been stalled until further notice. Get well soon Mani "The Godfather" of Indian cinema.

Sachin unveils his statue

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar unveiled his wax statue in Mumbai today. Thereby he becomes the first Indian sportsperson to be featured at Madame Tussauds. The statue will be available for display from April 23. Sachin said that the statue is a reflection of his contribution. Sachin made his debut against Pakistan in 1989 and is still playing and has set records in both forms of the game.

Roger Federer married girlfriend Mirka

Roger married longtime girlfriend Mirka on Saturday in his hometown. Federer who met Mirka in Sydney Olympics in 2000 has been dating her for the past 8 years. They announced last month they were expecting their first child. Fedex will play in Monte Carlo Masters next week. He is going through a tough time after losing his No.1 position last year to Nadal. He is aiming for his sixth Wimbledon title this year. Lets hope time changes after his marriage !!

Sachin and Yuvraj are neighbours now

All rounder Yuvraj has bought a lavish 3 bedroom flat in Bandra, Mumbai. He joins Tendulkar along with stars SRK and Aish who reside in the same locality. Tendulkar who has his own villa next to his flat will be moving in soon. "Toscano" is a 15 storeyed building and Yuvi stays in the 15th floor. There is no room for his flatmates to brag about Yuvi's celeb status because each floor has exactly one flat.

SHRUTI HAASAN TURNS MUSIC DIRECTOR

Shruti Haasan the daughter of the legendary actor Kamal Haasan has finally decided to make her debut as a music director in her father's film Unnaipol Oruvan which was was titled Thalaivan Irukiran, a remake of the Hindi film A Wednesday. The film has no songs same as the original version. Shruti feels scoring music for a suspense story gives her more scope and the re-recording will be really challenging.

Shruti who already has a rock band has already performed in various cities. She made her debut as a singer when she was six. Currently she is acting in a movie titled Luck opposite her childhood friend Imraan Khan. Now, thats how a kid of a legend should be !!

RAHMAN NOT IN BOND MOVIE

The Oscar star made it clear that he is not doing any Bond movie and he dint get any offer too as far as that movie is concerned. But he has been getting quite some offers from Hollywood. Guess his phone is still Ring Ring 'RINGA'....

And he also added that he is not replacing Football star David Beckham for Motorolla. He said its just a rumour.
