Oscar winning music composer A.R.Rahman has added another feather to his cap by winning the Grammy award for the best music compilation for the motion picture Slumdog Millionaire and best song motion picture song for "Jai Ho". A.R.Rahman has proved himself a very fine music director by winning awards in all categories. Previously he won the Oscars and Golden Globe for the same motion picture.

A.R.Rahman after winning the award said that "This is insane, God is great again" . Grammy is considered as the one of the most prestigious awards as far as the music industry is concerned. And A.R.Rahman has proved himself as one of the best musicians of the global stage. A.R.Rahman is currently working on a Hollywood project which is not yet revealed and other Indian projects too. As of now he has stopped taking Indian projects due to his Hollywood commitments.

Kamal next movie :: Kamal Haasan, K.S.Ravikumar in next movie

Kamal Haasan is all set to start his work next project titled Yaavarum Kaeleer, which will be directed by K.S.Ravikumar. And this movie will be produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin of Red Giant movies. This movie will also mark the debut of Udhayanidhi Stalin as an actor. Eventhough he did a cameo in his previous film Aadhavan this will probably be his perfect launch.

Trisha will be sharing the screen space with Kamal Haasan and music might be scored by Shruti Haasan. The shooting of the movie will start from April 2010 and will hit the screens for Diwali 2010. It is said that this movie will be a full length comedy film just like Panchathanthiram or Avvai Shanmugi.

Ajith 50th movie :: Gautham menon directs Ajith

Ultimate star Ajith Kumar whose Asal is almost complete and ready to release is now moving on to the next project. Ajith earlier had plans of doing his 50th movie with Venkat Prabhu or Vishnuvardhan. But finally has chose Gautam menon to do his next movie. Both of them are teaming up for the first time and it said that it will be a cop story. Gautam earlier had plans of making a story which will have the ultimate star in shades of grey but later decided to do a cop story.

The latest looks of Ajith has confirmed that it is a cop story a the expectations are really high. The music director is yet to be confirmed. Gautham might chose A.R.Rahman for his next movie but as of now Rahman as not given any confirmation on this project as he is busy with his Hollywood commitments.

Kamal Haasan receives Life Time Achievement award

Actor Kamal Haasan who recently completed fifty years of being in cinema will be recieving his Life Time Achievement award from the Rotary club of Chennai for his achivements in the industry. Its just another feather to his cap who has already won various awards. He is one actor who has won three National awards in the Indian cine Industry. Yet he will not be getting the recognition at one of the biggest film festivals in the country - the International Film Festival of India. The festival will be featuring films of Asha Parekh, Sharmila Tagore and Soumitro Chatterjee who also completed 50 years in cinema.

Kamal Haasan's films will not be a part of it because the actor wanted seven of his films to be screened instead of the proposed three. The actor feels the southern industry lacks the initiative when it comes to participating in National events.And the actor is also expected to Chair the FICCI media and entertainment enclave to be held on Thursday and Friday in Chennai.
