Prabhakaran 54 year old, leader of the Liberation of the Tamil Tigers Eelam has been shot dead by the Sri Lankan army. Prabhakaran who founded and led a militant group for an independent Tamil state has been shot dead while trying to flee the forces. However the list of continuous events say that there has been no identification of Prabhakaran as yet.
Hence the civil war in Sri Lanka has come to and end and the Sri Lankan government has won it after fighting for 33 years. Also reportedly found dead were the LTTE's chief police Elango , S.Ramesh and deputy intelligence chief Kapil Amman.
